We are proud to offer in-house repairs and service for most digital and film cameras and lenses, with fair pricing, fast turn around, and satisfaction guaranteed! Our repair technician, located in our Mobile, AL store location, has over three decades of experience in servicing all brands and types of photographic equipment.
A comprehensive quote of the repair cost can be given upon inspection of the equipment. All inspections and estimates are free of charge and you are not obliged to leave your equipment for servicing.

Firmware updates
Inside your camera is a microprocessor (small computer), that uses software stored on non-removable flash memory inside your camera. This is called firmware and is the operating system of your camera which allows you to control the features and functions, with the camera’s menus and buttons. Firmware also controls autofocus, exposure, image processing, noise reduction and other important functions within your camera. Without firmware your camera would not be able to operate.
We provide firmware updates for you digital cameras AND your digital lenses as well. Pricing starts at just $15 for items purchased from Calagaz locations.
Lens Calibration
Why Calibrate your camera lenses?
When DSLR cameras and lenses are manufactured they have been set up as accurately as possible but there will always be slight variations in the autofocus of each unique DSLR and lens combination. To correct for this variation, your DSLR camera and lens combination needs to be focus calibrated together using the cameras built-in Microadjustment / AF-Fine Tune system and an independent focus calibration tool.

This service is available only on cameras with Micro-adjustment capabilities. Pricing is $40 for the first camera and lens, and $20 for each additional lens or camera/lens combo.
